Frequently Asked Questions
To be honest, these are more like “anticipated questions” but that’s not as catchy.

As a courtesy to the couple and immune-compromised guests, we ask that all attendees take a COVID-19 test (rapid antigen is ok) the day of the party and stay home if it is positive; please also stay home if you were exposed to the infected person. We will provide high-quality masks to guests who want them. If you are feeling sick in any way, please stay home.

Our RSVP form will be open on our website once we send out invitations. Please respond by May 13th! Texting, calling, or emailing us to RSVP will probably work, but it relies on us remembering to add you to the spreadsheet. For our sake, please use the website form!
Need to update your RSVP? Just RSVP again. Your newest RSVP will override your previous one.

Street parking is free, but very competitive! Feel free to drop your passengers at the door before driving around to find a spot, and take a picture of where you parked in case you forget.
If parking stresses you out, consider utilizing the Chicago Transit Authority (take the bus and train babe!).

As long as you’re wearing clothes, you’re fine. The couple will be wearing something cute with garden-party-vibes.
If you’ve been looking for an excuse to wear that one weird outfit, THIS IS YOUR EXCUSE!
It will be indoors and outdoors (weather-permitting), and there is A/C inside.

It's an open-house style gathering. We encourage folks to come and go as they please.
There will be space for cards and gifts, a guestbook, some games, dancing, and help-yourself food and drink. Since we never had a big wedding, there may be a few traditions thrown in there, but no formal program of events.
-
Nope! We'll have beer, wine, and plenty of non-alcoholic drinks. Bring your own liquor.
No smoking in the backyard please. Smoking and vaping tobacco is legal in vehicles and on public Chicago streets and alleys; smoking or vaping cannabis is not. Stick to infused drinks and edibles if THC is your thing!
-
If you'd like to bring others along, please reach out to the couple in your RSVP! It's a casual event, but we do need to know how many folks to expect. If you were invited, your kids are, too!
-
Not at this party! We may do a few wedding-ish things, but a ceremony isn’t one of them.

YES!

Not for our 5-year anniversary. We do love a party, so maybe eventually!
-
We recommend using the back entrance, through the alley. Take a look at the map on the travel page if you’re confused. There will be music, decor, and signage to help point you in the right direction!
-
Doors open at 3pm! Come whenever; there’s no program of events.

Keep an eye out for a menu page on this website closer to the date!
